Collection of field recordings of songs, stories, and interviews with Aunt Molly Jackson of Clay County, Kentucky recorded by Alan Lomax in New York City in May 1939 for the Archive of Folk Song, Library of Congress. Jackson sings folk songs, Child ballads, and her own compositions about coal miners and life in coal camps. She discussses her family background, religion, and life in eastern Kentucky.
